There are so many methods in Feng Shui. Yuen Hom is based on the sitting of a house. If your house is sitting on the south, then the opposit is north. This is how we determine the chi direction for Yuen Hom, mystic of the void. Facing north is not good in the year of 2008. If we use the 8 mansion method, then it is the door that we use for finding out the chi source direction. Yuen Hom is more powerful than 8 Mansion, so I use Yuen Hom system for a serious matter. I have purchased and lived in 8 different types of houses to make the research on the energy of each house in different states and in different countries over the years. I must say facing North is tough. The energy of north has its limitation. The Chinese rarely use a north facing house. It is because of the formation of China. There are mountains in the north. North also has cold wind. The ancient time Chinese people had to face the enemies in the north, so they do not like north. They do respect north. They only place god statute in the north.
